The UC3842D8TR is a fixed-frequency, current-mode pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller optimized for off-line and DC-to-DC power conversion applications. It is part of the UCx84x series of controllers that provide the key building blocks to implement efficient switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) with a minimum number of external components. Internally this device integrates an undervoltage lockout (UVLO) with hysteresis, a precision reference, a PWM comparator with current-limit capability, and a high-current totem-pole output optimized for driving external N-channel MOSFETs or bipolar switching transistors.
